The School of Economics and Business of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and the Institute “Lawrence R. Klein” of Economic Forecast, linked to the Department of Applied Economics, have the pleasure of inviting you to participate in the VI Permanent Workshop of the Hispano-American Society of Input-Output Analysis (SHAIO) to be held on September 27 and 28, 2018 in Madrid.
Through the last decades, both, the School and the L. R. Klein Institute, we have accumulated an extensive research activity in the field of the Input-Output analysis, mainly due to the contribution of Antonio Pulido and Emilio Fontela, who have been references of this field, and have promote the development of these methodology in several groups in Spain and other countries.
For this reason, we are especially pleased to organize this VI Workshop, and have the opportunity to share the most recent developments in this renewed field, which is experiencing a continuous process of progress, both from the theoretical and empirical view point.
In line with the tradition of these meetings, the workshop is expected to serve for promoting the collaboration of different institutions and research groups working in the field of input-output analysis, such as academic researchers, statistical institutes, and professionals from the public and private institutions. In this respect, following the approach of the Spanish Workshops and Input-Output Analysis Workshops, we extend this call for participation to every person and institution willing to share knowledge and research experience in the field.
To this aim, the official languages of the congress are Spanish and English; Abstracts and papers can be submitted in any of these two languages.
The Workshop will take place in Madrid between September 27th and 28th. It is a great season to enjoy our nice campus at the UAM, as well as the cultural and social amenities offered by this unique city of Madrid. The parallel sessions will be distributed between these two days, so all the accepted works will be presented and discussed in a great scientific and kind atmosphere.
We look forward to seeing you soon in Madrid!
